Chats Etiquette

Google Chat platform that allows colleagues to easily communicate and collaborate with each other. All CSPD staff including teachers, support staff and trainees have access to Google Chat.

Chats is an extremely useful tool for trainees. It is intended to give trainees an easy, safe and non-judgemental space to ask each other work-related questions and give advice, in order to resolve issues quickly.

A Google Chat Space is created for all of the trainees to communicate. This group is monitored by the TSOs and Senior TSOs.

Please remember that Hangouts is a work tool and therefore all communications should be kept work-related, personal conversations are to be had elsewhere and outside work hours. If you are found to be misusing Google Chat (i.e. having personal conversations, gossiping, posting inappropriate content, bullying, harassing or making other trainees feel unsafe) you will be reported. Remember to think before you type, once you hit enter, what you have said is there forever.
